Canadians love their hockey and now, thanks to one enthusiastic hockey fan, there is another way to
express that passion.
Joan Buma, a self-proclaimed hockey lover, has captured the passion of Canadians and united fans with a
new cheer – Eh! O’ Canada Go!
Chosen from thousands of entries in a contest by Pepsi and Hockey Canada, Buma says her cheer is about
letting the boys on the ice know that Canada is behind them during these crucial games.
The new Hockey Canada cheer has been heard throughout the arenas this week at the 2010 IIHF World Junior
Championship and Buma hopes that fans will continue to adopt the mantra as Canada continues its quest for a
sixth-straight gold medal.
As the tournament progresses the games will get tougher and the voices of fans will be needed more than
ever to get that extra bit of adrenaline flowing.
