CALGARY, Alta. – Canada’s National Women’s Team travels to Victoria, B.C. this weekend to face the United
States on Monday, October 5 at the Save-on-Foods Memorial Centre. The Canada-U.S. game in Victoria marks the
first in a series of six games in 2009-10 between the top two teams in women’s hockey, with only two other
games in Canada prior to the 2010 Olympic Winter Games (December 15 in Calgary, January 1 in Ottawa).
Canada and the U.S. met twice at the 2009 Hockey Canada Cup in Vancouver in September, and the rivals will
meet again at the 2009 4 Nations Cup in Sweden in November. The U.S. has won the first two games of
2009-10.
