SINGLE-GAME TICKETS FOR 2008 WORLD JUNIOR A CHALLENGE ON SALE MONDAY

CAMROSE, AB – With less than a month to go until the start of the 2008 World Junior A Challenge, the host committee has announced that single-game tickets are now on sale for the tournament, set for November 2-9 at the Edgeworth Centre in Camrose, AB.

Single-game ticket prices are as follows:

Preliminary round: $18
Semifinals: $23
Bronze medal game: $28
Gold medal game: $33

All ticket prices include service charges, and can be purchased through Ticketmaster at www.ticketmaster.ca.

Full tournament packages are still available for the 2008 World Junior A Challenge. 1st Star ($499), 2nd Star ($249) and 3rd Star ($199) packages are all available through Ticketmaster at www.ticketmaster.ca. For more information on each of the packages, CLICK HERE.

Tickets are also still available for the opening ceremony on Saturday, November 1, which will feature a concert by Canadian legend Tom Cochrane. A gold circle ticket is available for $70, while a regular ticket is available for $50. Both prices do not include applicable service charges. Tickets for the opening ceremony can be purchased through Ticketmaster at www.ticketmaster.ca.

In addition to single-game tickets, Hockey Canada, Hockey Alberta and Camrose Minor Hockey also announced some of the development activities that will take place around the 2008 World Junior A Challenge.

On Friday, October 31, Hockey Canada will host a Coaches Specialty Clinic at the Edgeworth Centre, with as many as 50 local-area coaches taking part in a 90-minute classroom session, followed by a 90-minute on-ice session. On Saturday, November 1, the Edgeworth Centre will play host to a Hockey Canada Skills Development Camp, with players from the Atom and Peewee divisions taking part.
